Jack Ass on Mars

Not very far from the Parrot geoglyph that Wil Faust discovered, near the large impact basin in the southern highlands of Argyre Basin, is another interesting formation....in the shape of a Jack Ass.

Notice the large ear(s), eye, muzzle, withers along the neck and open mouth (Figure 1). He wears a bridle and the crater, between the ear(s) may represent the remains of a straw hat.

This beast of burden on Mars may represent the Egyptian god Set (as a donkey) and the disk-shaped formation on his head may be a reference to the sun god Horus (as a sun disk).

Here is an example of the Egyptian god Set with a sun disk (Horus) above him.

Here is a small Egyptian sculpture of a young Horus (the sun) riding on a representation of Seth, as a donkey.
