Looking at the tip of the D&M Pyramid there is the profiled head of a rabbit. In Mesoamerican mythology the rabbit is seen as a symbol of the moon and the consort of the Moon goddess. On a ceramic sculpture produced by the Maya, the couple can be seen embracing, demonstrating their close relationship. Notice he has long ears and the large patch of fur that hangs like a flange along his jaw line and he wears a necklace. Also notice the stylized treatment of the rabbit’s head, he is almost snarling - much like the rabbit seen on the D&M Pyramid. Rabbit and Moon Goddess NOTE: In my book "The Martian Codex" there is an entire chapter on the D&M Pyramid and the discovery of geoglyphs of the young and old Moon Goddess....now we found the rabbit. Hello gaden.... The rabbit formation has nothing to do with pareidolia.
Considering the D&M pyramid has hidden images of both the young and old Mayan moon goddess' on it - the appearance of the rabbit is perfectly logical - considering its connection with the moon in Maya mythology.
Mr. Haas has an entire chapter in his second book The Martian Codex that explains the moon related geoglyphs found in the D&M.

Donnie Darko's rabbit looks a lot like the D&M Rabbit on Mars.... Also note the teeth and the composite of "faces" that makes up the Darko rabbit. GJH

The Rabbit is easily identified in the new MRO HiRISE image (ESP_042595_2210) of the D&M Pyramid. MRO HiRISE image (ESP_042595_2210) 2015. GJH
