I always say that I spent two years on Mars as a student back in 2002 so I feel like he's a boyfriend of mine (Lol!). Basically, I learned from Roger Cultee, a member of the Northwest Coast Quinault Tribe (or more specifically the Clatsop Nehelim) about the application of sacred geometry that is part of their totem pole culture. He demonstrated some low tech ways to mirror ancient art and architecture in order to animate. Then I spent two years applying sacred geometry to the planets and the stars using Adobe Photoshop and Maya and produced a full dome animation for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History's Lodestar Planetarium. The finished product is stored on the University of New Mexico's supercomputer. David Beining can provide that for you if you'd like to provide it to a planetarium for re-airing. At any rate, I entered it into the Domefest, an international animation competition and went up against the likes of the National Space Centre of England and a multi-million dollar company in Germany. The project won the Award for Originality. The ten minute video prototype is posted on YouTube as Indigenous Skies and Celestial Beings It's a good summary of how to apply sacred geometry using mirroring and reverse imaging techniques. After that project I fell in love with Mars, and the sun... well also Mercury is really cool and so is Venus, and well, also really like Jupiter. (The audio at the end is actual audio from the Sun). I didn't get a chance to include Calisto, a moon of Jupiter, but that was really cool. Looking at things in a balanced view makes one really cognizant of the different features of the landscape, but also seems to allow one to "see" the spirit of things, o rin this case, the planets and the stars. I noticed that after awhile of working like this, one doesn't need to apply sacred geometry. One starts to see the spirit of things without the use of these tools.
Anyhoo, as an afterthought, I'm not too keen on the idea of "colonizing Mars" because there are already people indigenous to there. I found the remnants of a city and what appears to be lights near underground entrances. I'll post that when I get home. I am also glad the Navajo language translation of that record sent into space on Voyager says "Watch out. These people are gonna steal your land." The Western World colonizer's perspective is what is killing our special water drop in the universe, Mother Earth. You gotta clean up your sh*# here before you go anywhere else. Manifest Destiny leaves a bad taste in indigenous people's mouths.
