I identified another symmetrical structure right next to the Rectangular Pyramid in the Cerberus/Tartarus region of Mars (Figure 8). It is a D-shaped, semicircular mound that is framed by a wide, segmented boarder which runs along its base and arches around its edge, like a ring of eroded crust. Its interior topography has a smooth, shiny surface with scattered pockmarks of bulbous mounds. Its overall shape can be compared to the architectural ruins of Pueblo Bonito found within the Chaco Canyon of New Mexico (Figure 8). Back in 2002 a rectangular-shaped, pyramidal formation was identified in the Cerberus/Tartarus region of Mars by a pair of independent researchers, Nathan Schoeller and Greg Orme (Figure 7).The structure has a highly modeled interior with a stepped profile that is framed by a thick uniform border. Its central topography appears pockmarked with numerous bulbous mounds. When the rectangular structure on Mars is compared to a highly eroded, stepped pyramidal formation discovered in Caral Peru, their common stepped pyramidal design become quite obvious (Figure 7). Notice the radiating pattern of rectangular walls within the Great Pyramid at Caral. This is a Square Pyramid with an extended, truncated platform that was discovered in the Elysium Planitia region of Mars by independent researcher Jean Ward. The structure also has a circular court. It looks a lot like the pyramid at Sechin Bajo, Peru. Figure 5 Square Pyramid with Truncated Platform Left: Elysium Planitia, Mars Center: Geometry outline Right: Sechin Bajo, Peru (2000 BC). Remarkably, in 2004 when archaeologists Peter R. Fuchs surveyed the pyramid at Sechin Bajo his team found that the structure has a central court....very much like its counterpart on Mars (Figure 6). This thread will archive the best examples of structures that have been found on Mars. Your comments and questions are welcome. To begin, here is the famous D&M Pyramid that was discovered by Vincent DiPietro, Gregory Molenaar in Cydonia (Figure 1). Here is a small flowing stream on Earth on the left and the same stream on the right with the water covered over by masking, transforming it into a thin layer of silt. Figure 1 Water stream Left: with flowing water Right: silt with water removed. Is this what we are seeing on Mars? GJH
