There is a beach, located in north western Mexico known as Las Labradas that has rocks that are covered in over 600 petroglyphs, dating to the Archaic period (2500-1000 BCE). One of these petroglyphs features a feathered eye...that looks a lot like the Birds Eye View Mound on Mars. Notice the small head form on the left side and the tail feathers on the right. GJH
