I would like to introduce here an interesting example for past life on Mars. A user called "gforce4039" from another board found that strange small structure within an image made by the Mars rover Spirit. He pointed out that the shape is quite unusual. When I saw the image the first time, I did not pay much attention to it. But on closer inspection, I suddenly realized that he was right.

The two lateral dark holes give the impression of eye sockets and at the front part there are apparently two prominent front teeth (incisor teeth) visible. There is of course a possibility that this is just natural structure and what we see here is just an unusual shaped stone.
However, it is very amazing, that the structure match with anatomical features of skulls, which we know from small rodents. We can recognize a darker symmetrical recess in part, that we could call the nasal bone area. The back part of the head seems to possess a slightly higher central line/seam feature. The significance of this becomes clearer by comparing this "Martian Skull" directly with skulls of small animals here on earth. There are many remarkable parallels.
Discoveries like these offer a rare opportunity to apply certain techniques that help to visualize such objects in more tangible and vivid way. With morphing techniques, such objects can be partially rotated and a seemingly three-dimensional representation of the object can be generated. In this case, we have here very good
prerequisites for the use of morphing, because we can see more than half of the front side of the skull-like object. If it were just a view on a lateral profile, it wouldn't be possible to create an animation.
The high degree of symmetry, which can be found here is pretty amazing. The symmetry axes shows that maybe more than coincidence is here involved.
To prepare an animation, we must mark all symmetric reference points and put them in relation to each other.
These images show again the astonishing symmetry that lies in this "skull". We have already used this technique on other interesting objects. One can not force a desired result. The template must have the appropriate characteristics. It wouldn't be possible to create a clean animation, if this high level of symmetry would not exist in the template.
And here we can see the result:
Such puzzle pieces can help us to recognize what is right in front of our eyes. Looking at the whole image, the Spirit rover had made on Sol 820, we can conclude that the skull can not be very large. Maybe as big as the head of a squirrel or a rat. The shown details allow us to name the anatomical parts. That makes this find so very interesting:
We can not deliver an exact calculation of the sizes at moment, because for a mathematical derivation, we need to know various angle sizes. We just know that the PanCam rests on a rack that is exactly 1.50 m above the ground. But that is not enough. The required information should exists somewhere, and we have to find out where NASA or JPL have stored this type of data and whether these informations are open to the public. On the other hand, the object is very close to the rover. It is possible to recreate the scenario with simple means. On occasion, we try to do this.
Another nice coincidence is that some of our anomalies hunter colleagues also had found skull objects on other images of the Spirit rover: www.marsanomalyresearch.com/evidence-reports/2004/073/animal-skulls.htm
The object is small and is very easy to confuse with the other inconspicuous stones in the surrounding area. So it fits to the general appearance, that the image has been released for publication. The clear presence of higher life forms on Mars, would have been otherwise censored. There are certainly much more impressive images of other fossilized animal skulls/bones but this is something we're not going to see. It seems to be the agenda of NASA to suppress evidences for higher developed life on Mars.
A skeptic might say, this is again just a crazy conspiracy theory. Why should they keep something like this secret? Let's try whether we can find an answer why they would act in such a way. It has not directly to do with some kind of highly advanced extraterrestrials or with unknown technology. It is just a trace of (past) life on another planet in our own solar system. But it is more than that. It is an evidence, that evolution is not an event that just happened on earth. That's the crucial point! The aspect of higher developed life forms on an alien planet, is a highly problematic topic for several cultures and religious communities here on earth.
(I think there are a number of conflicts of interests that come here together and the natural development of life on Mars is just a casual, almost insignificant point, because Mars have some more secrets and surprises.)
The question is whether this is a permanent condition, or whether we can expect a gradual improvement. A policy of small steps. It would be a terrible imagination if there aren't any plans for a sensitization of the public. Spirit and Opportunity have already found several evidences for the existence of water in the past of Mars' history. It would be a first good step, to use the Curiosity rover as an opportunity to let it find the first "official" evidences of life. Of course just of simple life. It would be a compromise between science and religious beliefs (and other interests).
Okay, that's all for now. There are still more structure anomalies, that can be found in the series of images from the Spirit Rover around Sol 820. We have here a reproducible pattern, but these details can be discussed later. I'm always open for any kind of feedback.
