Hi charleyblu.
The eastern side of the Face presents the frontal view of a "cut-in-half" image of a feline face. So, what are you seeing in this side of the Face that looks like a lion's paw?

Interesting that they only colored half the face but that actually gives some shape to the mouth area..... it is deceitful what they are doing.....

gaden, the only "deceitful" people here - are the ones providing the false color image of a two year old picture of the Face and then releasing a small crop of the image to the world as a new picture...the deceitful ones are the employees at NASA's HiRISE department. It seems like NASA is trying to force us to see the feline face, without saying it.
