I found another interesting formation located in the Acheron region of Mars. This one looks like the ruins of a box-shaped foundation with a central horizontal bar. It has a low profile and round corners that remind me of a Slice of Bread. It also resembles the similar, low profiled ruins of a structure dating back to the Bronze Age that was discovered in the ancient city of Kislovodsk in southwestern Russia. Here is an odd feature discovered in Hebes Chasma by independent researcher, Jean Ward (Figure 43). The image comes from the ESA, Mars Express camera. It shows what appears to be very old mining quarry that the ESA team describes as: A horseshoe-shaped chunk that has been taken out of one side of the mound. Ward compares it to a mining quarry found here one Earth (Figure 43). Figure 43 Mining Quarry Left:Hebes Chasma, Mars Right: Mining quarry, Earth (Image - Bulk Equipment)

Here is an outline of the geometrical, hexagonal-shape of the structure that Gary found on Mars (Figure 44)..."where a-bouts unknown." Figure 44 Left: Hexagonal structure, Mars right: Proposed hexagonal shape, outlined Note: The crater appears to have been there before the hexagonal structure was built on top of it. GJH

Locate in the Nilosyrtis Mensae area of Mars is a octagonal mound that is connected to a circular crater. The crater’s rim has a small impact crater that is 52° off its north/south axis (Figure 45). It can be compared to a similar formation found within the Highbank mound complex located in Central Ohio. The complex has a large octagonal mound that is connected to a circular mound, which has a “gateway” on its eastern side that creates a south/north angle of 52° (Figure 45). Located in the frigid Tenuis Cavus area of Mars is an odd structure that resembles a dug-out trench or the remains of a bunker (Figure 46). It looks a lot like a WWII trench located in the Sanctuary Wood in Belgium. Figure 46 Trench-like formation Left: Tenuis Cavus, Mars Right: Sanctuary Wood, Belgium. GJH
