Check this unusual Martian mound Pyramid. The main feature itself is just over 1 mile in size.

Nice find Gary. Here is a comparison between the Pi symbol and the Hebrew letter "Heh" (Figure 1). Figure 1 Left: Pi sigh Center: Pi Mound (color wash) Right: Hebrew letter Heh GJH

Re: "Pi on Mars" Please clarify if possible - is this an MRO image? If so, is the orbital height and pixel resolution available? Thanks!

This is an MRO CTX image. NOT a High Rise camera image. The main feature itself is just over 1 mile in size. I not know what difference the info you want makes, as the feature is definitely there & clearly seen in the image. What are you trying to determine with that info?

i find this interesting. surely in our old folks did try to land there in mars ahead of us. or may be there are few chosen ones that were able to get there. we still need to know more.

There is a little four-sided pyramid north of Pi Mound. The pyramid is like 339 feet across. Figure 2 Little Four-sided Pyramid

Notice that the central axis of the Little Four-sided Pyramid is aligned with the tip of the Pi sign (Figure 4). Figure 4 Pi Mound alignment with Little Four-sided Pyramid Also notice the elongated needle-like formation that points out, above the Little Four-sided Pyramid. Its placement continues the alignment path. GJH

It would be interesting to know what direction north is and any angles with north and / or the small pyramid that may have relationships to pi. Also interesting is the abundance of mounds in the picture.

Hi William... North is straight up. In other words, the image shown is from a position where north is straight up.

So taking Gary's North alignment of the photo and George's line to the small pyramid. I determined that the angle between the two is 19.5 degrees. As we know this is an important number as determined by the geometry of a tetrahedron inside a sphere.
Also, 19.5 = 2(pi)r
