Square Mound with Long Ramp

In October 2014 Mean Green provided us with an image (MRO CTX image B18_016653_1919_XN_11N253W) of what he called a possible "Ziggurat Ruin" in the Amenthes Fossae region of Mars (Figure 1).

Notice the square shape of the formation and the long ramp running parallel along its eastern side. The top of the mound is framed by a think band that forms a secondary square. Extending diagonally from one north eastern corer of the square form to the lower south western corner is a serpentine ridge line.

Notice the overall arrangement of small mounds and buttes surrounding the Square Mound creates a square template, while the set of mounds and buttes located below it creates a triangular template (Figure 3).
