Recently discovered geoglyphs in the Nazca plateau of Peru seem to depict a beheading, according to Japanese researchers. Scientists working at Yamagata University's research institute in Nazca said April 12 they believe the geoglyphs were created between 200 B.C. and 400 B.C. That would make the drawings older than those of a hummingbird and a condor, the two best-known portrayals there. see full story:http://ajw.asahi.com/article/behind_news/social_affairs/AJ201304130043 GJH

Architect Luis de Garrido designed a glass domed house on the Isla Playa de Cleopatra in Turkey - based on the Eye of Ra (Top). The house is completely energy and water self-sufficient and features an amazing indoor landscaped terrace. Another eye geoglyph was produced by a Brazilian artist Vik Muniz, in 2005 (Bottom).
