This thread will archive the best examples of structures that have been found on Mars. Your comments and questions are welcome. To begin, here is the famous D&M Pyramid that was discovered by Vincent DiPietro, Gregory Molenaar in Cydonia (Figure 1). This is a Square Pyramid with an extended, truncated platform that was discovered in the Elysium Planitia region of Mars by independent researcher Jean Ward. The structure also has a circular court. It looks a lot like the pyramid at Sechin Bajo, Peru. Figure 5 Square Pyramid with Truncated Platform Left: Elysium Planitia, Mars Center: Geometry outline Right: Sechin Bajo, Peru (2000 BC). Remarkably, in 2004 when archaeologists Peter R. Fuchs surveyed the pyramid at Sechin Bajo his team found that the structure has a central court....very much like its counterpart on Mars (Figure 6). Back in 2002 a rectangular-shaped, pyramidal formation was identified in the Cerberus/Tartarus region of Mars by a pair of independent researchers, Nathan Schoeller and Greg Orme (Figure 7).The structure has a highly modeled interior with a stepped profile that is framed by a thick uniform border. Its central topography appears pockmarked with numerous bulbous mounds. When the rectangular structure on Mars is compared to a highly eroded, stepped pyramidal formation discovered in Caral Peru, their common stepped pyramidal design become quite obvious (Figure 7). Notice the radiating pattern of rectangular walls within the Great Pyramid at Caral. I identified another symmetrical structure right next to the Rectangular Pyramid in the Cerberus/Tartarus region of Mars (Figure 8). It is a D-shaped, semicircular mound that is framed by a wide, segmented boarder which runs along its base and arches around its edge, like a ring of eroded crust. Its interior topography has a smooth, shiny surface with scattered pockmarks of bulbous mounds. Its overall shape can be compared to the architectural ruins of Pueblo Bonito found within the Chaco Canyon of New Mexico (Figure 8). This next example is a a four-sided pyramid with a conjoined mound or platform attached to its lower side (Figure 9). The structure was discovered in the Elysium Planitia region of Mars by an independent researcher Jean Ward. I noticed the over all design of this Martian pyramid highly resembles the Pyramid of the Moon at Teotihuacan, Mexico. Q: 2 different kinds of tops A: Although the Four-sided Pyramid with Conjoined Platform on Mars is covered with sand, dirt, and ice, you can still see its pyramidal form. You can see the spines radiating on four sides and the outline of the platform. When the Pyramid of the Moon at Teotihuacan, Mexico was discovered in the 1800's it was covered with dirt, bushes and trees. It had no detail or visible spines and it looked like a natural hill. Here is a picture of the Pyramid of the Moon from 1880 compared to another photo from the 1900's (Figure A). Keep in mind the Pyramid of the Moon has undergone a lot of repairs and reconstruction, which gives it, its almost pristine appearance, with sharp angles. In 2002 independent researcher Wilmer Faust discovered a three-sided pyramidal formation in the Candor Chasma region of Mars (Figure 9). Here are two MOC images of the structure showing defining aspects of three-sided Reuleaux geometry, exposing a uniform symmetry in its three, triangular faces. Figure 10 Three-sided Pyramid Left: Candor Chasma, Mars 2002 Right: Candor Chasma, Mars 2003 In 2007 the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter HiRISE camera acquired an image of the Three-sided Pyramid (Figure 11). Although the HiRISE image shows its northern face is partially damaged its overall Reuleaux footprint can still be seen. In 2018 Gary Leggiere discovered a large four-sided pyramidal structure in the eastern area of Syrtis Major Planum (Figure 12). I's slightly eroded appearance can be compared to the pyramids found in China. Figure 12 Four-sided Pyramid Left:Syrtis Major Planum, Mars Center: Geometry outlined Right: Xian, China GJH

This triangular-shaped structure (Figure 13) is part of the complex found in the Atlantis Chaos region of Mars by Greg Orme in 2019. The structure is highly symmetrical and has soft, rounded corners. Its triangular roof or dome covering appears to be missing, leaving its infrastructure fully exposed. It may have once been a fully functional archology. This is another structure found by Gary Leggiere. This one is a triangular structure located in the eastern Acidalia region of Mars (Figure 14). It has three equal sides and a oval mound in its center. It looks a lot like a Masonic symbol of an eye within a pyramid seen on the Human Right Monument - located at the Champ de Mars (Mars Field) in Paris which, is named after the Roman God of war. A large polygonal pyramidal structure with an extended platform was discovered in the Promethei Terra region of Mars by independent Mars researchers, Keith Laney back in 2019 (Figure 15). The overall shape of the pyramid with its extended platform and its scalloped apron reminds me of the Great Pyramid, built by the Olmec in La Venta, Mexico. Figure 15 Polygonal Pyramid with Extended Platform Left: Aerial footprint of the Great Pyramid, La Venta, Mexico Center: Great Pyramid, La Venta, Mexico Right:Promethei Terra, Mars Notice the aerial footprint of the Great Pyramid, La Venta, Mexico matches the overall design of the Polygonal Pyramid with Extended Platform on Mars. In the Atlantis Chaos region of Mars there are what appear to be - the ruins of a massive city that has been called the Martian Atlantis (Figure 16). Notice the grid of cellular Formations that highly resemble the compartmentalized dwellings found in Saudi Arabia. While this is a spectacular image which appears very convincing, upon closer examination of the surrounding area - especially beyond this section - there is what I interpret as a vast and natural pattern of erosion, somewhat similar in appearance to tessellated pavements. LINK: Secret Mars - www.secretmars.com/mia041-ruins-of-a-settlement-2MJ Craig Hi MJ. Thanks for joining the discussion. Tessellated pavements are naturally created grid patterns of square and polygonal blocks that resemble mosaic tiles, however unlike the deep and hollow, box-like structures, with high standing walls, observed with in the ruins of the Martian Atlantis complex - the creation of tessellated pavements are relatively shallow. They occur in flat areas and their borders can appear as ruts or groves, while others have slightly raised borders that are short in profile and generally uniform in shape. GJH
